You have the right to be treated with respect, to make your own choices, and to receive support that is safe, fair, and focused on you.

You have the right to respect and dignity

You should always be treated with kindness, patience, and respect.

This means:

  • We listen to you without judgement
  • We speak to you in a way that is clear and respectful
  • We recognise your culture, identity, and personal choices
  • We support you in a way that protects your dignity

You are never “just a participant” — you are a person with your own story, goals, and voice.

You have the right to make your own choices

Your life, your decisions.

You have the right to choose:

  • What supports you receive
  • Who supports you
  • When and how support happens
  • What goals matter most to you

We’re here to support your decisions, not make them for you.

If something isn’t possible, we’ll explain why clearly and work with you to find another option.

You have the right to safe, high-quality support

You have the right to feel safe in every interaction with us.

This means:

  • Support workers are trained, screened, and suitable for their role
  • You are supported in a way that protects your wellbeing and safety
  • Your home, privacy, and personal space are respected
  • Concerns are taken seriously and followed up properly

If something doesn’t feel safe, you can tell us at any time.

We will listen, act, and follow through.

You have the right to speak up and be heard

Your feedback helps us grow.

You can:

  • Give feedback at any time
  • Make a complaint without fear of losing support
  • Ask for changes or explanations
  • Stay anonymous if you prefer

 

We will always take what you say seriously and respond in a fair and respectful way.

If you’re not comfortable talking to us directly, you can also reach external advocates or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and we can help you do that if you want support.
